Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic program at GCCC is an excellent opportunity for those looking to jumpstart their careers! In this program, you will learn to apply technical knowledge and skills to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment. Your well-rounded education will include learning industrial mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, industrial electrical controls, instrumentation, programmable logic controls (PLCs), motor controls and their application to industry.
Technical Education Expert's Corner
The program offers two levels of completion. The first is a Cert-C which consists of 49-credit hours containing courses in all the required areas for the program. The second level of completion is the AAS requiring an additional 15-credit hours of general education courses, for a total of 64-credit hours.
After completing this program, you will be ready for a career in the quickly growing processing and manufacturing industry. Not only will you have the technical skills needed to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment, but you will also have gained the ability to work in teams, problem-solve, and think critically.
