Home Health Aides provide personal care to individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or cognitive impairment, from infant to older adults.
GCCC's two-credit-hour Home Health Aide certification program prepares competent students for work in a variety of home health agencies. It includes the basic knowledge and adaptation of skills students will need to provide care and meet the psychosocial, physical, and environmental needs of an individual or family in the home, while collaborating with a variety of licensed medical professionals. We offer flexible course schedules to allow students to maintain a job while studying to achieve their certification.
GCCC is an approved provider for the state of Kansas Department of Aging and Disabilities and upon successful completion of this 20 clock hour course, students are prepared to take the KDADS State HHA exam.
