A Pre-College Medical Science Experience for High School Juniors, Seniors, and Incoming GCCC Freshmen

Explore anatomy, learn real medical skills, dissect a fetal pig, and observe a cadaver autopsy in a professional learning environment.

All activities are conducted in a supervised, college-level lab environment with experienced instructors, ensuring a safe, structured, and respectful experience for every student.

WHAT STUDENTS WILL DO

Experience Real Medical Science

This is not your typical summer camp.

Students will step into the world of anatomy and healthcare through hands-on, immersive learning experiences designed to reflect real medical education.

Students will:

  • Explore real human anatomy
  • Learn from preserved specimens
  • Perform a guided fetal pig dissection
  • Learn essential medical skills including vitals, observation, and analysis
  • Observe a cadaver autopsy demonstration

Every activity is designed to help students understand how the human body works from the outside in.

LOCATION

Garden City Community College

All sessions are held in GCCC’s Anatomy and Cadaver Lab, providing students with access to real equipment, specimens, and a professional learning environment.


SAFETY AND PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT

All activities are conducted in a professional science learning environment under the supervision of experienced instructors.

Students will learn from anatomical specimens and participate in guided educational experiences.

Our cadaver lab operates with the highest respect for individuals who donate their bodies to science, ensuring an ethical and respectful learning environment.
