Spring 2020 Enrollment Opens Dec. 2
[Garden City, KS] Nov. 22, 2019 -- Spring 2020 enrollment at Garden City Community College opens to the public on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019. The spring semester begins Jan. 13, 2020.
Early high school graduates and other prospective students are encouraged to start the enrollment process for spring as early as possible to take advantage of the best availability of classes and advising.
First-time entering freshman are required to submit an admissions application online at www.gcccks.edu or complete a paper application in the Admissions Office in the Student and Community Services Center. Degree-seeking students must also complete placement testing -- available for free on campus – prior to enrollment, if they have not previously completed the ACT test.
Following application and testing, enrollees can visit with an advisor or faculty member to select their choice of classes and complete their schedule. Students who are unable to travel to campus and are interested in taking online classes should contact Vicky Reyes, Coordinator of Online Services, at vicky.reyes@gcccks.edu or 620-276-9788 after completing an admissions application online.
Students interested in applying for federal financial aid should complete a 2019-2020 FAFSA application at www.fafsa.gov.
An Early Enrollment Day has been set aside specifically for early graduates from USD 457 on Wednesday, Dec. 4: Garden City High School, Garden City Alternate Education Center, and USD 457 Virtual Academy. Seniors from these schools must RSVP directly with their counselors to attend.
The GCCC campus will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday from Nov. 25-29, and will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, Dec. 2.
