Bowhunter Education Class
Kansas Dept. of Wildlife, Parks, & Tourism to Host Free Bowhunter Education Class at GCCC on September 14
[Garden City, KS, August 26, 2019] The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism, in partnership with Garden City Community College and the High Plains Archery Club, will offer a free Bowhunter Education class on Saturday, September 14, 2019.
Bowhunter Education is a great course for both adults and children interested in taking up archery for hunting. Topics covered in the course include: hunter ethics, treestand safety, shot placement and shot selection, and blood trailing. The class is free and will begin in the Student and Community Services Center at Garden City Community College at 8:30 a.m. At 12:30 p.m., the class will then move to the High Plains Archery Club (east of Garden City on Mansfield Rd). A free BBQ lunch will be provided for students by the Archery Club. Registration is online at safehunters.com or by calling the Finney County Game Warden at 620-770-6218.
