GCCCA Celebrates 2022 National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week

[Garden City, KS] September 19, 2022 -- The Garden City Career Connection Academy (GCCCA), a division of GCCC, will celebrate 2022 National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week this week.

National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week is celebrated from September 19th to September 23rd.  This week highlights the success of adult education and celebrates all adult students who have chosen to continue their education.  It also seeks to raise public awareness about the need for and value of adult education and family literacy.

Adult Education can help to build a solid career and it helps adults to keep up with the changing times. Education is a life-long journey and one of the major characteristics of education is that it has no age. GCCCA also wants to thank all educators that work hard in this field, those that put passion and compassion into this duty, and who understand the needs of adult learners.

In celebration of National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week, GCCCA is hosting a family literacy event for its students on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at Garden City Community College. Family reading time, a family arts and crafts project, and family-oriented games will be available.
