GCCC to Provide Free Telehealth Services to All Students

[Garden City, KS] August 9, 2023 -- Garden City Community College has partnered with The Virtual Care Group to provide free telehealth services to all students starting in Fall 2023.

GCCC students will have free, unlimited access to fully licensed doctors, therapists, and on-demand crisis counseling 24/7/365 through the web, mobile app, or phone. Each student will receive log-in credentials to schedule free telehealth sessions and meet with healthcare providers remotely. There is no cap on the number of sessions, no insurance needed, no co-pays, and no cost to students.

Before implementing this partnership, GCCC Administration met with the GCCC Student Government Association (SGA) to discuss this new mobile e-health application. SGA fully supported these new mental and physical health resources for students, which is funded through student fees.

Information for setting up an account will be shared directly with students at the beginning of the semester via email and through the campus app Buster Biz.
