GCCC President Ruda Selected for Leadership Kansas Class of 2022
[Garden City, KS] March 4, 2022 -- Garden City Community College President, Dr. Ryan Ruda, has been selected for the
2022 Leadership Kansas Class by the Kansas Chamber. Dr. Ruda was one of 40 individuals
chosen from a pool of over 600 nominations for the 2022 program.
Leadership Kansas, or LK, is one of the oldest and most prestigious statewide leadership programs in the country and focuses on developing and motivating Kansas leaders from across the state, according to the Kansas Chamber announcement. Dr. Ruda shared his appreciation, "I am honored and humbled to be selected and look forward to embracing this opportunity and experience with the Leadership Kansas class."
Beginning in April, the seven-month program will take the class to multiple Kansas cities where they will interact with a variety of experts and community leaders during educational training sessions. The sessions will cover diverse topics including business, education, agriculture, public policy, societal health, economic development, and government.
"Participants in the Leadership Kansas program receive once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to meet many of Kansas' distinguished business and government leaders. They become stronger leaders, better prepared to contribute to their communities and our state," said Aaron Miller (LK Class of 2016) who serves as the Executive Director of the Leadership Kansas Program.
