GCCC Endowment Room Renamed in Honor of Omar D. Angeles
[Garden City, KS] July 15, 2024 -- The Garden City Community College (GCCC) Endowment Association is pleased to announce the renaming of the Endowment Room in the Beth Tedrow Student Center (BTSC) to the "Omar D. Angeles Endowment Room."
Mr. Angeles secured the three-year naming rights for this significant meeting space during the 2024 GCCC Endowment Scholarship Auction. In recognition of this honor, a commemorative plaque was presented on July 12, 2024.
“This space will be named after Omar Angeles, representing his dedication to the success of our students,” said Lenzy Kuebler, Director of the GCCC Endowment Association. “The GCCC Endowment Association extends its gratitude to Omar D. Angeles for his generous support of our scholarship auction and our mission of supporting students.”
Dr. Ryan Ruda, President of GCCC, added, "For years, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Omar, and he has been a tremendous supporter of Garden City Community College. This Endowment Room serves not only the college but also the broader community. On behalf of GCCC, I’d like to thank Omar for his continued support."
The newly named Omar D. Angeles Endowment Room will continue to serve as a vital hub for activities, meetings, and events.
