GCCC Endowment Association Announces New Endowed Scholarship with Golden Plains Credit Union
[Garden City, KS] February 23, 2023 -- The GCCC Endowment Association has announced the creation of a new endowed scholarship: the Golden Plains Credit Union Endowed Scholarship.
This scholarship is part of the President's Scholarship Initiative devoted to adding 50 new endowed scholarships to Garden City Community College in 2023. The Golden Plains Credit Union Endowed Scholarship will be available to students with a minimum GPA of 2.0 enrolled in a program emphasis of business, financing, or accounting, with preference given to students from Kansas.
"Partnering with the GCCC Endowed Association and providing a scholarship for a Kansas student is something we are very excited about," said Golden Plains' President/CEO, Rosa Saenz. "A scholarship often opens up new opportunities and helps students focus on their academics instead of worrying about how they will pay for their education. Through this endowed scholarship program, we hope to help many students reach their educational goals over the years."

An endowed scholarship allows you to create a scholarship fund that remains intact forever. The principal is invested, and a portion of the return is used each year to support the scholarship. An endowed scholarship can begin with any amount and build over time.
