GCCC BOT Hear Program Reviews for Social Sciences and Music
[Garden City, KS] July 17, 2024 -- The Garden City Community College Board of Trustees heard program reviews for Social Sciences and Music during the regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
The Board heard five-year academic program reviews from two programs, Social Sciences and Music. Each review highlighted a program overview, enrollment statistics, institutional data, achievements over the past five years, and potential areas for future development.
GCCC is required to notify the Finney County Clerk of its intentions regarding the Revenue Neutral Rate (RNR). The Board approved the intent to exceed the RNR. A public budget hearing is set for September 10, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. inside the Omar D. Angeles Endowment Room in the Beth Tedrow Student Center, Garden City Community College Campus.
The Board approved Samantha Sanger's release from contract as Professor of English. Sanger will transition to the role of Director of Institutional Effectiveness effective August 1, 2024.
The next meeting of the Board of Trustees is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 6 p.m. in the Omar D. Angeles Endowment Room in the Beth Tedrow Student Center, Garden City Community College Campus.
