GCCC BOT Approve 2024-2025 Insurance Coverage
[Garden City, KS] June 27, 2024 -- The Garden City Community College Board of Trustees approved 2024-2025 athletic insurance and property and casualty insurance during a special session on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
For athletic insurance, GCCC administration recommended accepting IMA’s proposal of $178,528 from STARR Indemnity and Liability Company. They also recommended accepting the required catastrophic policy from Zurich with an annual premium of $18,985, for a total athletic insurance premium of $197,513.
For property casualty insurance, GCCC administration recommended renewing the IMA proposal for property and casualty coverage for a 6-month premium not to exceed $306,000.
The BOT unanimously approved and accepted the recommended 2024-2025 insurance coverage.
The next meeting of the Board of Trustees is scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 6 p.m. in the Endowment Room inside the Beth Tedrow Student Center at GCCC.
