GCCC Board of Trustees Meeting Recap February 20, 2025

[Garden City, KS] February 21, 2025 -- The Garden City Community College Board of Trustees met during a meeting on February 20, 2025, in the Loretta Schultz Conference Room at GCCC.  

Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC conducted the annual GCCC financial audit and presented an overview. The audit also included the Garden City Endowment Association and the Broncbuster Athletic Association. The 2023-2024 audit resulted in an unmodified opinion, the highest rating available for financial audits. The Board approved accepting the unmodified opinion audit. 

During the President’s Report, Dr. Ryan Ruda shared that spring 2025 marks the highest spring enrollment in Garden City Community College history. Compared to spring 2024, student headcount is up 12.58% (at 1,951 students), and credit hour enrollment is up 16.72% (at 21,555 credit hours).

The next meeting of the Board of Trustees is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 6 p.m. in the Omar D. Angeles Endowment Room in the Beth Tedrow Student Center, Garden City Community College Campus.
