GCCC Board of Trustees Approve MOU and Hear Program Reviews
[Garden City, KS] November 20, 2024 -- The Garden City Community College Board of Trustees approved a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and heard three program reviews during the regularly scheduled meeting on November 19, 2024.
The Board approved an MOU with Ramona Munsell & Associates Consulting, Inc to assist in applying for an upcoming federal grant. Munsell & Associates have a proven track record of successfully writing and managing federal grants in partnership with GCCC, demonstrating expertise in grant oversight and required reporting.
Three five-year reviews were presented for the Animal Science, Welding, and Residential Life programs. Each review included an overview of the program, key statistics, achievements from the past five years, and potential opportunities for future growth and improvement. The Board also heard an update on year three of the Title III STEM Grant, a 5-year, $5 million grant to fund new programs in Cybersecurity, Robotics, and Crop Production and a new STEM Success Center.
The next meeting of the Board of Trustees is scheduled for Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 6 p.m. in the Omar D. Angeles Endowment Room in the Beth Tedrow Student Center, Garden City Community College Campus.
