GCCC Announces 2025 STEM Summer Camp: Exploring Autonomous Vehicles & AI
[Garden City, KS] March 18, 2025 -- The Garden City Community College (GCCC) STEM Success Center is excited to announce its 2025 STEM Summer Camp, titled Turn Right: Exploring Autonomous Vehicles and Artificial Intelligence. This immersive three-day camp will take place from August 5-7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the GCCC STEM Success Center Robotics Lab and is open to incoming high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and first-year GCCC students.
Participants will dive into the science and technology behind autonomous vehicles while exploring the broader applications of artificial intelligence. Through hands-on activities, campers will program and test small robotic vehicles on a closed course designed to mimic real-world roadways. They will also gain insight into the sensors and technology that power self-driving cars and discover how AI is transforming industries beyond transportation.
High school juniors and seniors who register for the camp will receive a $500 scholarship applicable toward a Robotics & Mechatronics degree at GCCC. The camp registration costs $25 per participant and includes lunch. Space is limited.
