GCCC Announces 2024-25 League Excellence Award Recipients
[Garden City, KS] April 14, 2025 – Garden City Community College is proud to announce its recipients of the annual League Excellence Awards. The 2024-2025 honorees are Caroline Bradshaw, Associate Professor of Allied Health; Sara Gaut, Assistant Professor of Science; Chip Schuler, Director of Residential Life; Emmett Statzer, Head Coach Men's and Women's Track and Assistant Athletic Director; and Nancy Unruh, Registrar.
The League Excellence Awards, through the League for Innovation in the Community College, recognize outstanding faculty, staff, and leaders in the community college field who have made a significant difference in the lives of students and in the communities their colleges serve.
Nominations for this award are submitted by peers, underscoring the significance of this recognition. Each recipient will receive a specially cast pewter medallion, an Excellence Award certificate, and a copy of the League Awards Program. The recipients were celebrated on stage during an all-employee meeting on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
