Exploration Day
Garden City Community College (GCCC) is excited to announce its annual Exploration Day on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The event invites high school juniors and seniors to visit the GCCC campus, where they can explore a range of academic and technical programs and discover the opportunities available to help them reach their educational goals.
Registration is now open, and students can sign up by contacting their school counselor or visiting https://www.gcccks.edu/exploration_day_2024.aspx. Seniors who register by Friday, October 25th, will be automatically entered into a drawing for scholarships. The final deadline for registration is Wednesday, October 30th.
Participants will have the chance to select the program sessions they want to attend during the event. During lunch, students can also interact with various student clubs and organizations to learn more about campus life and extracurricular activities.
The day’s schedule will feature check-in from 8:30 to 9:00 AM at the Dennis Perryman Athletic Complex, followed by a welcome session to introduce GCCC. Attendees will then participate in four program breakout sessions—two 40-minute sessions and two 20-minute sessions—where they can explore GCCC’s academic and technical programs. A free lunch, complete with a club fair, will be provided, with the event concluding at 1:30 PM.
As part of the event, GCCC will award six $1,000 scholarships to seniors during the lunch session.
