Career Connection Academy Announces Partnership with T-Mobile
[Garden City, KS] February 13, 2023 -- The Garden City Community College Career Connection Academy (GCCCA) is partnering with T-Mobile to expand remote learning possibilities within GCCCA's service area.
T-Mobile is providing 20 free iPads to GCCCA, who in turn, will loan those iPads to students from Hamilton, Kearny, and Scott Counties who enroll into the program. High-speed Internet is being provided as part of the partnership as well.
"Our service area is so large we simply are unable to offer physical classes in every county," Cary Conley, Director of the Career Connection Academy said. "Thanks to T-Mobile and their commitment to digital equity, we can now begin to address the needs of some of these communities."
Conley also noted that both English as a Second Language and GED courses will be offered. "We are genuinely excited to be able to offer these courses to some of our more distant communities," Conley stated.
iPads will be offered for loan to the first 20 students who enroll by March 10th, 2023. Students will be able to utilize remote learning from the comfort of their own homes, though final GED testing will require travel to Garden City Community College's official testing center.
