Policy Statement:

Garden City Community College prohibits dating, sexual or intimate relationships between employees who can exercise power of control over another employee, student, and/or student employee. Relationships include but are not limited to direct teaching, supervisory, advisory or evaluative responsibilities. College employees who do not adhere to this policy are subject to reassignment and/or to disciplinary action up to and including termination.

In other cases where a conflict or the potential for conflict arises because of the relationship between employees, even if there is no line of authority or reporting involved, the employees may be separated by reassignment or terminated from employment.
