Policy Statement:

Under certain circumstances, the President may cancel classes and other activities when severe weather threatens the safety of students and/or employees. Normally, weather related closings or cancellations will be announced on local radio and television stations as soon as possible. Usually, employees will be paid when work is missed due to a cancellation or closing.

Employees are encouraged to use their best judgment as to whether or not they can safely travel to campus during inclement weather. If the employee chooses not to come to work when campus is open, they will be required to use a personal or vacation day.
