GCCC Named Best Community College in Kansas by Niche for Second Consecutive Year
Garden City Community College (GCCC) has been named the No. 1 Best Community College in Kansas by Niche for the second consecutive year. The recognition is part of Niche’s 2027 Best Colleges in America rankings, which also placed GCCC No. 14 among 732 two-year colleges nationwide, placing the college in the top 2% nationally.
In the 2027 Best Colleges rankings, GCCC earned an A- overall grade, with particularly strong marks in Diversity (A), Student Life (A-), Safety (A-) and Value (B+). These scores reflect the college’s performance across key areas that contribute to a high-quality student experience, including academics, value, campus life, and student support.

Niche’s 2027 Best Colleges rankings evaluated nearly 4,000 colleges and universities nationwide. The rankings incorporate academic, financial, and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education, along with reviews, ratings, and survey responses from students and alumni.
