Getting Started

Follow these steps to complete your enrollment at GCCC:

  1. Apply for Admission by submitting the GCCC Application for Admission.
  2. Send Your Official Transcripts to the GCCC Registrar's Office (VAREP@gcccks.edu). This includes:
    • Your military transcript (Joint Services Transcript)
    • Official transcripts from every college or university you have attended
  3. Complete the Academic Skills Assessment, if required.
  4. Meet with Academic Advising to enroll in classes. Be sure to schedule time with the Veterans Services Coordinator to discuss your VA education benefits.
  5. Complete Student Success Seminar, if required. First-time freshmen are required to take this course to help prepare for college success.
  6. Submit the Veteran Educational Benefits Form to begin processing your VA education benefits.
  7. Pay Tuition and Fees. Tuition and fees must be paid by the payment deadline to remain eligible to register for future classes.

    • Using VA Benefits? If you're receiving education benefits through Chapter 31 (Veteran Readiness & Employment) or Chapter 33 (Post-9/11 GI Bill®), your classes will be held once your Veteran Educational Benefits Form has been received.

  8. Get Your Student ID and Purchase Textbooks.
  9. Log in to myGCCC.
    • This gives you access to important student resources, including:
      • Canvas
