Program Overview
The Pre-Engineering program at Garden City Community College provides a strong academic
foundation in calculus, physics, and chemistry. It is designed for students preparing
to enter a wide range of engineering fields.
Core Science and Math Foundation
Students develop advanced problem-solving and analytical skills needed for engineering
disciplines. Coursework builds the technical knowledge required to understand and
solve complex design challenges in areas such as civil, mechanical, chemical, and
electrical engineering.
Hands-On and Applied Learning
The program combines rigorous academics with hands-on learning experiences that help
students apply scientific and mathematical concepts in practical ways.
Transfer-Ready Pathway
This pathway prepares students for a smooth transfer to a four-year university and
future careers in engineering, including mechanical, civil, electrical, and aerospace
fields.
