Program Overview
Chemistry is known as the central science because it connects to many fields, including
medicine, energy, engineering, and environmental science. The Chemistry program at
Garden City Community College provides a strong, rigorous foundation in both theory
and laboratory skills within a supportive, student-focused environment.

faculty. In the lab and classroom, students build essential skills by applying chemical
